Walkthrough: Starting a Blueprint Job

In this walkthrough we will see the simple steps necessary for starting your own custom industry job from within Eve-MEEP. These jobs can be used for finding out information such as assembly line availability, scheduling conflicts, or just finding out how long a job might take. Custom jobs are typically removed from Eve-MEEP when their scheduled start time has passed, and Eve-MEEP updates from the API.

First step is to bring up the blueprint in the Inventory:

Eve-MEEP inventory screen

Select the blueprint you wish to begin the job on, and in the tool bar above the list click ‘Start Job’. Alternately, you can right-click on the blueprint and use the context menu to go to ‘Start Job’.

The first drop-down list here is for selecting what kind of job you would like to start (such as production or copy). Once you select the job type, Eve-MEEP will automatically populate the second, third, and fourth drop-down lists with all the locations you have used before that can handle this type of job.

The #2 drop-down will probably be gray, and not allow you to change it. This is because it shows what type of instillation the location in #3 is. This way, you do not have to worry about keeping track yourself. By changing the location in #3, #2 will adjust. If the location you want to use is not listed, simply type your own in, and the #2 drop-down will allow you to select the proper one yourself.

Finally, the #4 drop-down selects the assembly line. As you change your selection on assembly line, Eve-MEEP will automatically check its availability, and show you below. This allows you to select the assembly line that is free the earliest.

You will now have all the necessary information to add the job.
