Bug Reporting

Eve-MEEP is always a work-In-Progress, and often times you will stumble upon a bug. Bugs tend to fall into two categories, crashes and errors.

A crash is the most obvious type of a bug, especially in Eve-MEEP, because the program stops functioning. When this happens though, Eve-MEEP will display a large dialog box with the error telling you what happened. At the same time, it writes this error into a log file. These text files are located in the Log directory, and there is typically one file per day. To report this bug, e-mail me the log file for the day the crash occurred, along with a description of what you were doing when it happened. This way I can see what caused the crash, and reproduce it on my own.

Errors are when something is simply wrong in the program, be it wrong information, a control does not work, etc. It does not result in a crash or error log, but you know it to be wrong. In these cases just send me an e-mail describing the issue.
