Bill of Materials
What It Is
A bill of materials, or BoM(Bill of Materials), is a listing of all the components required to run a particular job. In the case of Eve-Online and Eve-MEEP, it is typically the materials needed for production jobs.
What It Does
The top section of the BoM(Bill of Materials) shows all the blueprints that are being produced on this bill, along with their respected ME/PE levels and the amount of runs that they will be producing for. The bottom section shows all of the components required for all the jobs, along with the quantity required, quantity on-hand, and basic pricing information.
Accepting the Bill
Accepting the BoM(Bill of Materials) means that Eve-MEEP will reduce your current on-hand materials from your inventory, according to what the bill says. This is done by adding negative quantities of each material to your inventory. Because the bill has no knowledge about where the jobs are being done, nor does it know where the materials for that job are located now, this is the most accurate method. The program will still know how much of any given material is left, it just cannot know where it might be located.
These negative values only exist until the user chooses to manually update the locations and quantities of the material, or until the next time the Assets API is updated.
